Wine Recommendation – Château Haut Brion 2000
A client of Sure Holdings asked us to help him find ten cases of Château Haut Brion 2000 for his wedding. After searching high and low we are happy to have secured thirty-five cases of this fine wine at a discounted price!

Wine Recommendation for June 2009
The Château Haut Brion is a top grade first growth which happens to be one one the oldest wines in the highly acclaimed 1855 classification. The Haut Brion is the only first-growth to be American owned.
The vintage is 2000 which makes the wine a special millennium year. Still stored in their original wooden cases with perfect labeling, we are selling each case for just £5350. We have scoured the globe for these cases and you will find it hard to match this price. In fact most merchants are offering this stock at £5500 a case.
Normally connoisseurs wait ten to fifteen years before drinking a wine of this quality, now coming into its 9th year this wine is almost ready for consumption.
The Market
Robert Parker has given this wine 98 points and said ‘it will be very long lived’. He also opinionated that the 2000 vintage is better than the 1998, 1995, 1990 and comes close to the 1989. Parker went on to say, “its so solid and concentrated that it should mature around 2012 and keep maturing well past 2040.”
In comparison the vintage of 1989 is selling at £9000 a case which when released was around £300. This shows you the potential of investment in this type of wine.
Base on the current market, the London Exchange has risen 1.2% this last month which shows growth in the wine market. Having a Haut Brion 2000 in your portfolio gives your portfolio a great chance to achieve good returns over the next 12 months, especially when we’re offering this wine for what we consider below market value.
Jancis Robinson who holds an OBE and Master of Wine usually disagrees with Robert Parker but not this time as she rated the Château Haut Brion 2000 18 out of 20.
Our team of experts expect to see returns of 20% per annum after our recommended three years holding. This first year could see better returns as the wine market goes up however we advise to hold onto this wine as long as possible. People don’t want to sell exclusive years like a millennium year 2000.
