If you follow our recommendations then you will know that we have recommended Armand de Brignac to you before but this style is their Rose. This selection is a very limited parcel of their wonderful Rose. Rose Champagne is an exclusive style of wine making because it is more difficult and costly to produce than your normal Champagne hence allocations are always very small and in of course this then brings about more demand.
If you have studied about Rose Champagne you may know the reason that Rose is more exclusive is because the wine maker needs to dip red grape skins into the juice to make it a pink colour, it can be rather time consuming and it is harder to get it right. Yet the Champagne that is produced brings about a taste that is wonderful.
The full title of this Champagne is Armand de Brignac or Ace of Spades and our current recommendation is doing very well with a 10% return in less than a year.
There are some changes going on at the chateau Since Jay Z the pop star has bought a stake in the Chateau and we were speaking with negociants, it was not easy to secure the stock. We were buying their Blanc de Blanc version and the supplier had to cancel our order because the Chateau wouldn’t release the wine so they offered us the Rose from their existing stocks at a discounted price because of the inconvenience.
The price we are able to recommend this Champagne is very low compared to the rest of the market, it’s currently trading on the U.K market for around 3700 Euros/case. As I mentioned because we are buying in Euros and the Euro has dropped recently we are buying it a lot cheaper than the UK market. Some merchants are advertising it for as much as 4000 Euros a case. We are able to offer this Ace of Spades to you for 3220 Euros/case. Even at the lowest price in the market this is an offer to you for 13% lower!! We can not be wrong, you can easily see the prices advertised for this Aces of Spades Rose online. Some merchants are charging ridiculous prices because it’s been difficult to obtain this Champagne in decent quantities in the current market.
We could probably sell this back to the market for a higher price than what we are recommending to you for but we prefer to make this a recommendation and give the returns to you so you will continue to invest into wine.
In terms of growth potential, if we look at similar Rose wines, I’ll give you some to compare. There’s the Louis Roederer Cristal Rose Champagne vintage 2006 which is 3900 Euros/case that’s a good comparison.
We think this Champagne can do at least 10% per year growth but since there is could be positive changes to take effect from Jay Z buying into the Chateau. If he really promotes the Champagne in music videos like he has done in the past, it is likely to have a very positive impact on the growth of this Champagne.
Based on the price we are buying it at today, there is a strong chance you can sell this in 1-2 years with good profits. If you wish to hold it for the long term, then a 5 year term should net you some very good returns.
