Fine Wine Investing – To sell or not to sell?

Fine Wine Investing – To sell or not to sell?

Selling wines can sometimes get quite personal. We may have a special fondness towards a certain wine or sometimes selling wines could be out of a whim, maybe we haven’t reached our profit target or its not what we expected. Whatever the reasons are for selling wine, we are after all only human and will be somewhat governed by our emotions in most of our decisions. There are no hard and fast rules for selling wines but generally we tend to fall into 4 reasons why we sell our wines.

Reason One would naturally be selling your wines because they are making good returns.

Reason Two would be when you need money and you sell your wines for cash. There are no penalties for cashing out early and that’s one of the beauties of selling wines.

Reason Three would be selling under-performing wines and to use the funds from your wine sales to buy into a younger vintage to rejuvenate and diversify your fine wine portfolio.

Reason Four would be selling your wines out of a whim.  Now,  I would say let’s look at this objectively together.

You may not see the growth in all of your wines for 6 months but I know because I am watching the whole market for a long time now. The market has been on a 4 month rise since December last year. It’s been a rough 3 years but now the worst is over and the market is definitely going up. If you sell now without the need for cash, then most likely you will regret it later.

At least take advantage of these price increases over the next 6 months then start selling before economy collapses. When economy collapses, wine prices might drop but they will rebound very fast unlike the stock market. Then, we can take advantage of the second spurt of growth and sell again after the increase.

My valuations for this month have shown a 3.15% increase across the board of all portfolios in Sure Holdings. That’s really significant, don’t you think?

Selling wines is really simple. We need your consent to sell your wines in written confirmation before we can proceed. Then we will value your wines and send a copy for you to look through. Valuations take about 1-2 days. Give us your written consent to put your wines for sale and we will put your wines up for sale. In fact, with our new trading platform on our new site investintowine.com which we will be launching real soon, you can put your wines up for sale all on your own with just  a few simple clicks. I will talk you through the process with a short video tutorial to show you just how easy you can sell your wines now with our new trading platform later on.

No personnel from the warehouse where your wine is stored nor any personnel from Sure Holdings can remove your wines without your consent. The proceeds from the sale of your wines will be deposited straight to your nominated bank account. Your profits from selling wines are not taxable so it’s clean profits! The whole process takes about 3-4 weeks. We only charge you 1% on the sale of your wines for management of your transaction.

My goal is for you to sell your wines and to enjoy the profits from them. Nothing makes me happier than to see my investors making money. Money may not be everything but your satisfaction with Sure Holdings means everything to me. It means that I have served you well.

Sincerely yours,
