Chateaux Margaux 2004 First Growth Bordeaux

Invest into Wine, Sure Holdings, Fine wine Investment, Good Returns, Margaux, Chateau Margaux

I have a brilliant wine to recommend to you. Chateau Margaux is one of the most famous first growth, red, Bordeaux wines.  They call it their finest claret and it is perfect for investment.

Since the 17th Century, the first wine of Château Margaux has been recognised as being one of the greatest wines in the entire world.

It is currently one of the most sought after first growth wines in the world. This Premier Cru Château Margaux 2004 is a great classic vintage.

All prices below are quoted in GBP (UK Pound Sterling).

In a time where the market is rising, it is extremely difficult to find first growth Bordeaux wines below market price. I highly recommend you invest into this vintage and keep for 3-6 years.  Over the short term if it meets our expectations then I will advise you sell it early.

The price is excellent and the quality of this wine is superb. First growth Bordeaux wines are the most aggressive wine investments in the market right now.

Because it is 12/13 years old, connoisseurs are looking to drink it NOW as it has recently matured, so if you sell this in 3 years you will maximise on the growth potential of it.  As availability goes down, demand will increase.

Critics

It has great reviews from critics – average critic score is 94 points out of 100. This is a very good rating for a wine below 4000 pounds/case.  Especially when you look at some 97/98 pointer wines priced at over 10,000 pounds/case some are younger than 5 years.

This Margaux is a lower priced first growth Bordeaux hence why I thought it would be perfect for you to add to your portfolio and ease you back into the wine market.  Though it is close to being a blockbuster with its score!

When to drink: 2016 to 2050

Compared to Margaux Vintage 1996, which is priced at 6400/case in todays market – Average critic score is 95 points.

Investors seek to get into the ‘lower priced’ first wines due to rising prices.  China have been actively buying up lower priced wines over the last 12 months.

U.S dollar strength is impacting the fine wine market, as stock markets rally out of control, US dollar keeps gaining strength. I can see investors buying wine in U.S dollars to hedge against the stock market crashing.  Its not a bad move to be making given the rapid growth of the share market lately.

Wine is unlike the stock market, its on a recovery after 4 years of decline and only just got started.  Great things to come – so add as many first growths that I can recommend to your portfolio.

Availability

I could only negotiate 100 cases at this price. Which means I can only offer a maximum of 7 cases, to take more cases the price would be higher.   As always, If I can not get my price point then I wont buy and wont recommend to you.

The stock is in the UK and we are keeping it in London to ensure perfect provenance (Storage History). Stock is photographed and in perfect condition.

Market prices start at 3600 Pounds/Case for 12 bottles. You can not find this for anything less than 3600 pounds/case.

It was a tough negotiation to get hold of this wine, and the best price I secured for you is 3520 Pounds/case. Nobody wants to lower their prices, knowing that the market is moving higher.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to pick up a first growth below 4000 pounds in a market that is climbing higher every single month.

Potential Return

The growth potential is huge on this recommendation, I would like to see the price gaining some momentum in the first 2 years, potentially it can do 20-25% per year and the third year and onwards 15% per annum.  A 65% return over 3 years if the market continues it’s growth at the current rate.

Back in 2011 the price was 4050 pounds/case.

The good thing about Margaux is it one of the most stable first growth wines, it always remains steady, not huge returns but very steady. It is a very top class Chateau with an amazing reputation but they never get ahead of themselves like Lafite so they always maintain consistent prices.

This is a strong wine to have in your portfolio.

Price is 3520 GBP/case 12 Bottles per case (Standard 75cl Bottles)

This is the lowest price in the world. Please make sure you are looking at the correct style of Margaux when you browse the web for prices.

How many cases would you like to add to your portfolio?

All the best

Kind regards
