Looking for Investment Value in Chateau Latour

Looking for value in the fine wine investment market is an exciting challenge for me. Take a look at this chart below which outlines the vintages from 1990 to 1999 for Chateau Latour – A first growth wine from the 1855 classification of Bordeaux.

The 1855 class of first growth wines are heralded as the most sought after investment wines in the world. Why? Because they have restrictions on the number of labels that can be produced each vintage. Among other restrictions, which are held up by European Union directives.

Latour 1996 shows value as the second blockbuster of the decade with 1990 as the first. Latour 1996 looks to hold value between the lesser rated first growths and the 1990 vintage. A good vintage for investment this year and the coming few years.

Chateau Latour First Growth Fine Wine

Did you know?

Chateau Latour have stopped selling their wines upon production during the en primeur campaign each year. This En Primeur is a tradition whereby the Bordeaux wineries release their latest vintage and sell before the wine is bottled. Latour will not offer their last unsold vintage 2011 until 2020 or 2021. What will the price be when its released 10 years after its been produced? And will the older vintages sky rocket?
