The figures for July
This month’s valuations showed the Bordeaux market increased +0.45% for the month.
We saw a slight decline for the Champagne and Rhone Valley wines down 0.-0.73%. However Rhone Valley and Champagne have been increasing substantially over the last six months and a slight pull back was expected. The wine market continues to remain buoyant and in a growth pattern.
– 30% of the wines valued showed a positive return, while 17% showed a negative and 53% remained the same.
83% of our portfolio is Bordeaux while 17% is Champagne and Rhone Valley.
– The overall gain for ALL the wines valued this month was +0.35%

Château Latour 2007 – another First Growth which has shown an increase of 21.50% since our recommendation to you in June 2012. This fine wine has an average critics score of 93/100.

Château Mouton Rothschild 1996 – First Growth from the 1855 Classification, has shown a positive return of +29% since we recommended it to you as a buy in August 2016. It’s also the highest Top Gainer for this month at 7% from previous month’s valuation.
