Does your wine exist?

Does your wine exist?

It is quite often that when we invest, we actually like to see our investments as tangible products. Either it makes us feel more secure or it just could be that unfortunately, most of us have had a bad experience with investments before.

With fine wine investments, probably the million dollar  question would be whether does your wine exist. This question is mainly asked by potential investors. On the contrary, I’m thrilled that investors question about their wines, it gives me comfort that my investors are responsible and care about their wine investments.  Not surprisingly because there are unscrupulous wine investment companies that sell wines to their investors with wines that don’t even exist! Or fly-by-night companies that liquidates all your wines as they close their companies down. Sadly, many potential investors are losing out on this great opportunity in fine wine investing just because a few rogue companies have tarnished the reputation of the fine wine investment.

So, let’s talk more about whether does your wine exist.

All my investors’ wines are stored in bonded warehouses in London and in Bordeaux. The reason why it’s important to store your wines in a top class warehouse like ours is because your wines are your rare assets and you need to protect and look after your assets. Also, another important point to note is that the provenance(history) of your wines affect its resell value. The more it has been moved around the world, the harder it is to get a good resell value out of your wines. Therefore, our wines have very good provenance, usually from the Chateaux and straight to our warehouse.

As an investor, you will be receiving a warehouse report with your name on it. Each warehouse report bears a unique rotation number for each case of your wines. This is a binding document to show ownership of your wines. Nobody from the warehouse nor from Sure Holdings have the authority to remove your wines from the warehouse, let alone sell your wines without your authority. Sure Holdings also issues you with an Invoice and Receipt for your wines. These are binding documents to show you have paid for your wines in full and these assets belong to you. You can check your wine portfolio on our website at anytime with your unique username and password at http://www.investintowine.com. Every year, we run physical audits and paper audits on every single wine that you own in our warehouses to ensure your wines are in perfect condition. We are very serious with our physical inspection and wine audits, as even a small tear or a smudged label could affect the resell value of your wines.

Sure Holdings’ aim is to help you realize the best gains from your wine investments. Most of my investors have not even seen their wines but what truly matters are the funds from their wine sales deposited right into their bank accounts.

Sincerely yours,

Kimmy Goh
