In March, the week of 17th-23rd March saw the trade by volume rise 17%. Bordeaux’s share has risen 0.9%, Champagne has gone up 4.4%. The USA market has accounted for 3.3% of the Champagne’s trade by volume. The Fine Wine 50 Index has continued to rise 0.2% during that week.
We continuously see big names taking charge on the top of the trade value for another week. Lafite 2010 was the second most traded wine by value. Its last trade was 48% lower than at peak, which was around the time that it was released.
Dom Perignon 2006 has showed lots of activity during this period also. It was the No. 1 top traded wine by volume and third by value. There was also a lot of activity across vintages of Beychevelle, which comprised a total 5.9% of trade by volume, beaten only by Lafite Rothschild and Mouton Rothschild.
