At the dinner held at Mar-a-Lago residence hosted by Trump for the President of China, Xi Jinping, Californian wines were the wines of choice. Trump’s intention to serve McDonald’s hamburger at the bilateral dinner was scraped and went with a classier choice.
Guests were treated to a laid back continental menu and paired with Chalk Hill Chardonnay 2014 from Sonoma Coast and Girard Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 from Napa Valley. Dishes for the night lack of any sort of imagination and playing on the safe side of menu planning.
