En Primeur Price Analysis Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou 2014 to 2017 Vintages

If you are considering a fine wine for investment this month, take a look at Ducru Beaucaillou. This second growth Bordeaux fine wine, from the 1855 Classification is consistently producing good vintages and the prices are stable with some vintages producing great returns.

The growth of these vintages since en primeur release has been very consistent. Some years were lower than 10% growth like the 2014 growth was better in its second year of en primeur but disappointing in its first and third year of release. The 2015 vintage actually lost money in its first year after release however the 2017 has been the best overall return with a whopping 29% growth.

Price changes from the vintages 2014 up to the 2017 vintages, show the Increase for all four vintages was fairly stable. The lowest valued vintage is the 2014, which was released just under 100 Euros/bottle. The most expensive was the 2016 vintage which was a great year for Bordeaux pretty much all around, apart from a handful of few wineries.

The ratings for Ducru Beaucaillou 2018 vintage were superb. The value of scores have been well above average for a second growth investment wine.
