Mouton Rothschild 2002
Steady growth up to January 2016 it was trading at 3000 pounds/case, this wine has suddenly come to life with a very good 12 months growth over 32%.
Mouton Rothschild took the early lead as the favourite wine investment when the wine market began its rebound in 2015. Back in 2011 it traded at 4000 Pounds/Case which matched its previous high of 2011.
Market is waiting to hear the price of the newest 2016 vintage (Those Chateaux already released are higher than the 2015 vintage’s there is expectancy that older vintages will rise following these price increases by the Chateaux.
Average critic score: 94 points, it is a good, but not blockbuster vintage. However market has shown more aggressive buying activity for the lesser blockbuster vintages so this is an advantage for Mouton 02.
Strong chance of further growth. Can’t wait to see the price of Mouton 2016 which has 98-100 points from Neal Martin (Robert Parkers new prodigy). Another reason the older vintages should go up is the market is in a bullish momentum…
