Wine recommendation Mouton Rothschild 2002

Wine recommendation Chateau Mouton Rothschild 2002

Recommendation for June 2010

Fantastic News!  We have managed to get a great recommendation for you.

Chateau Mouton Rothschild is one of the best known wines in the world. It’s a Premier Cru Classé wine from the renowned 1855 Classification.

The Vintage is 2002 and the stock comes in their original wooden cases stored in bond facilities in London City Bonded warehouse in the UK. We can email you some photos when you purchase.

This recommendation is a very small placement, we don’t have enough to recommend to our whole client base so it’s first come first served i’m afraid.  I’m pretty sure it will go pretty quickly.

This Mouton Rothschild is priced at 2750 Pounds Sterling per case in 12 bottle cases for you. There are very reputable merchants selling this wine on the fine wine exchange for 2900 pounds/case.

The Mouton Rothschild vintage 2000 is selling at 7900 pounds per case just to give you an idea of what kind of prices Mouton can easily fetch in the market.

We sourced this parcel of wine from a London Merchant who is part of our secure network and they have held the wine in Bond since it was bottled and shipped directly from the Chateau.  It belonged to one of their Private clients in America who has just lost 20 Million Dollars through a scam and needed to liquidate some of his portfolio, we feel its an excellent price to buy now.

Steven Spurrier is a popular wine critic in the wine business. He tasted the Mouton Rothschild 2002 at en primeur and advised to drink this Mouton from 2008 onwards.

It had a 5 stars rating from Decanter Magazine, to achieve 5 stars from Decanter is a really a big achievement.

Robert Parker gave it 96 Points out of 100 which is a great rating from Parker for a wine less that costs less than 2000 Pounds a case.

Wine Spectator gave it a 95/100 point rating, another excellent review and score.

Ben Giliberti wrote an article in The Washington Post and quoted this “The Mouton 2002 vintage is giving collectors and other wine lovers lots of reasons to celebrate”.

“For Investors and collectors, the 2002 Mouton-Rothschild offers the best opportunity in more than 20 years to invest in Mouton. It approaches the perfection of the 1982, 1986 and 2000 vintages of Mouton but costs about half as much”.

We have been studying the market for a few months trying to find which vintage and wine to recommend to you. The reason we have put this parcel together is because of its price compared to other vintages.  The critics have given it very good ratings which also leads us to believe it is shadowed by bigger vintages such as 2000 and 2003. Sometimes good vintages get missed because they are so close to a blockbuster vintage.

The trading value of this wine since bottling has increased from 300 Pounds to over 2800 Pounds per case in the market today. This is an increase of over 400% and the price you can buy it for today at 2750 Pounds a case is even below market value. However we do not believe its growth is over and it’s actually only just beginning.

Neal Martin another famous wine critic who has recently partnered with Robert Parker gave it a score of 23/25 and said its Similar to the 1988 but with more class and balance. He went on to say its a great success for Mouton and his favourite First Growth of the 2002 First Growth Bordeaux Wines.

A case of 1988 vintage Mouton is about 2800 in the market today, that was purchased for less than 200 pounds a case back in the 80’s.
